About NYC and Long Island Dog & Cat People

Hi everyone,

We're really excited to have started this meetup group. We're different from some of the meetup groups because we don't charge a fee for your to be associated with us. And, we welcome suggestions for events--- you won't see us holding the same ole, same ole meetups. There will be something for everyone. Even those without pets!

We'll be holding a variety of events and programs on Long Island and in Manhattan so there will be something for everyone. We value your ideas, suggestions and feedback. If you have a suggestion for a meetup or event, please do not be shy- just send either the organizer or one of the assistant organizers a message and we'll make it happen!

We hope you'll tell your friends about our meetup group as we welcome all pet lovers here!

Please try to be active in this group- add your photos to the photo section, add your pet's story to our message board (we started a thread for all sorts of things so be sure to check it out). And, we have set up a few polls for us to get a better idea of who is in our group so please fill them out when you have a moment.
