Education and knowledge: to learn about proper pet care including but not limited to nutrition, training, alternative medicine (ex: massage therapy), puppy socialization, etc
Networking and leads: to meet other pet professionals and pet owners to gain exposure for our businesses, exchange business cards, find new customers, or referrals
Socialization and friendship: to meet other local "pet people" who share the same passion for pets
Some simple rules and guidelines to help us get the most out of our meetings:
Pet Owner Responsibilities: clean up after our pets, keep them on a leash in public places, use good judgment with their behavior (screaming, yelling, excessive force or objects to hit your dog will not be tolerated...if you don't know how to correct your dog's behavior, ask for help)
Message board or e-mailing: No offensive or abusive language. If you would like to promote your business or have an event you'd like to invite everyone to, please make sure to send it to the Organizer first for approval.
Fees: because of the nature of this group, many times there will be a fee to attend a meeting. These fees are to cover room, food, speaker, handouts, etc. We will never make any money off these meetings, and no one will be allowed to profit from one of these meetings.
RSVP's: Please RSVP as soon as you can to each meeting. We need this to plan activities and to lower fees. If we have 20 RSVP's we will reserve a room for 20 people, but if 20 RSVP and 30 show up, them we cannot guarantee there will be enough room.
Suggestions: every idea, suggestion and comment you send in will be greatly appreciated and taken very seriously. I want everyone to learn, have fun and get what you want to get out of this group. This is YOUR group, so make the most out of it!
If you feel something or someone is being inappropriate, please bring it to my attention immediately. I want this group to be a learning environment for everyone where anyone can bring knowledge and ideas to the table.
